Calcamaze

Privacy Policy

Last updated October 19, 2026

Summary

Calcamaze (calcamaze.com) is designed to collect as little as possible. You do not need an account, we do not set cookies, and we do not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools. The numbers you type into a calculator are processed in your own browser and are not sent to us.

Information processed when you visit

Server logs. Like any website, our hosting provider receives technical information when your browser requests a page — your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. This is used only to deliver the site, keep it secure and prevent abuse, and is kept for a limited period by the hosting provider. Our legal basis under the GDPR is our legitimate interest in operating a secure website.

Calculator inputs. Calculations run entirely in your browser. When you use “Share result”, your inputs are placed in the page address (URL) so the link reproduces your calculation; anyone you send the link to can see those values.

Recently used calculators. To show your recently used calculators on the home page, your browser stores a short list of calculator names in its local storage on your device. It never leaves your device, contains no personal information, and you can delete it at any time with the “Clear” button or by clearing your browser’s site data.

Emails. If you email us, we use your message and address only to reply and keep a record of the conversation.

Cookies

We do not currently set any cookies. If we introduce analytics, advertising or other non-essential cookies in future, we will update this policy and, where the law requires it (for example in the EU, UK and Switzerland), ask for your consent before setting them.

Sharing and selling

We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising. Our hosting provider processes server logs on our behalf under its own data-protection terms; it may process data outside your country with appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

Depending on where you live — including under the EU and UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), Canada’s PIPEDA, Brazil’s LGPD and Australia’s Privacy Act — you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information about you, to object to or restrict its processing, and to complain to your local data-protection authority. Because we hold almost no personal information, most requests will concern emails you have sent us. To make a request, email postmaster@calcamaze.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

Children

The site is suitable for general audiences, including students. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes, such as introducing cookies, will be made clear on the site.
